These General Tournament Terms apply to a competition or tournament only when the event page, announcement, or application form expressly incorporates them. Each event must also have an Event Details notice identifying its specific organizer, game, eligibility requirements, dates, format, and prizes.
If the Event Details conflict with these General Tournament Terms, the Event Details control for that event.
The organizer or co-organizers responsible for an event will be identified in its Event Details. A reference to the “Organizer” in these General Tournament Terms means the organizer identified there.
Participants must satisfy the minimum age, residence, account, game-ownership, technical, and other eligibility requirements stated in the Event Details. Participation is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Each person may enter and participate only as permitted by the Event Details. Applications and eligibility information must be complete and accurate. Where an event permits minors, the Organizer may require authorization from a parent or legal guardian and may require the parent or guardian to receive any prize on the minor's behalf.
The Event Details will state whether an entry fee or purchase is required and how places are assigned if applications exceed the event's capacity.
The Event Details or linked gameplay rules will state the schedule, match format, bracket, scoring method, advancement rules, tie-breaking rules, disconnect policy, and no-show policy.
Unless the Event Details expressly state otherwise, tournament results are determined by participant performance under the published format and rules, not by a random drawing or other element of chance.
The Organizer's reasonable decisions concerning scoring, rule enforcement, and results are final, subject to applicable law.
The Event Details will identify any prize, its value, how it is allocated, the payment or delivery method, and the expected payment or delivery period.
Prize recipients must provide accurate payment or delivery information and reasonably cooperate with identity and eligibility verification. A prize may not be transferred unless the Event Details permit it.
Recipients are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes, duties, or other charges applicable to a prize in their jurisdiction. Any payment-provider or currency-conversion charges will be handled as stated in the Event Details.
Participants must compete fairly and must not:
- cheat, collude, manipulate results, or use unauthorized software;
- exploit bugs or technical errors to obtain an unfair advantage;
- impersonate another participant or use unauthorized multiple accounts;
- harass other participants, hosts, or event staff;
- intentionally disrupt matches, communications, or event systems; or
- provide false eligibility, ownership, identity, or payment information.
The Organizer may request reasonable evidence of identity, age, residence, game ownership, account ownership, parental authorization, or compliance with the applicable rules.
The Organizer may warn, remove, or disqualify a participant where it reasonably determines that the participant is ineligible, has broken the applicable rules, has compromised the event's integrity, or has failed to cooperate with verification. A disqualified participant forfeits any claim to a prize.
Participants are responsible for their own equipment and internet connection. Individual interruptions will be handled under the disconnect and rescheduling policy published for the event.
Where a platform-wide failure, security incident, serious technical problem, insufficient participation, legal requirement, or other circumstance outside the Organizer's reasonable control prevents an event from being run fairly or safely, the Organizer may modify, postpone, suspend, or cancel it. The Organizer will provide reasonable notice and, where practicable, preserve results already fairly obtained.
The Organizer may announce results using participants' chosen public display names where disclosed in the Event Details or application form.
Any additional promotional use of a participant's real name, likeness, voice, interview, or gameplay footage will be based on separate, optional consent. Declining promotional consent will not affect eligibility or the chance of winning.
Personal information will be processed as described in the privacy notice displayed with the application form and the privacy policies identified in the Event Details. The Event Details must identify the organizer or other parties that receive application information.
Unless the Event Details expressly state otherwise, an event is organized independently and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with the operator of any game-distribution, console, social, or communications platform used for the event. The names and marks of those platforms belong to their respective owners.Depending on the platform where you consume our games, the platform holders may collect various data on you. The governing law and responsible Organizer will be identified in the Event Details. Nothing in these Terms deprives a participant of mandatory consumer or other legal protections that apply in their place of residence.
