The Rail Estate Tournament (the “Tournament”) is organized by:

The Tournament is open to individuals who:
- are at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in their place of residence if higher;
- reside in a jurisdiction where participation and receipt of the prize are lawful;
- have a valid Steam account and legitimately own the full version of Rail Estate—the demo does not qualify;
- have the hardware and internet connection required to participate; and
- comply with these Official Rules and any published tournament, gameplay, scheduling, and conduct instructions.
Employees and contractors of Holonautic who are involved in organizing or judging the Tournament, and members of their immediate households, may not enter.
The Tournament is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Applications must be received by 12:01 a.m. PDT on September 1, 2026.
There is no separate tournament entry fee. However, participants must already own or obtain the full version of Rail Estate. The free demo is not sufficient.
Submitting an application does not guarantee a place if the number of eligible applicants exceeds the Tournament's capacity. Eligible places will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
Each person may submit only one application and participate through only one account. Applicants must provide complete and accurate information.
The Tournament begins on September 7, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. PDT and concludes when the final match has been completed and Holonautic has confirmed the winner.
Match Format & Bracket
Each match is a single 15-minute blitz round. The player with the highest profit at the dawn of the year 1900 wins the match. Match winners advance through the bracket until 8 or fewer are remaining; those meet in the Final to determine the tournament champion.
Advancement
Players advance solely by winning their 15-minute blitz match. There is no secondary scoring or seeding advantage — one win, one advance.
Tie-Breaker
If two players are tied on profit at the dawn of 1900, both advance. If there is a tie in the final match, a full rematch will be played to determine the winner. This repeats until a clear winner emerges.
Disconnect Policy
If a player disconnects during a match, they are eliminated from the tournament.
If the host disconnects, the match will be restarted from the beginning.
Late Arrival / No-Show Policy
Players who arrive late or fail to show up for their scheduled match will be excluded from the tournament. No exceptions or rescheduling will be granted.
This is a skill-based competition. The winner will be determined solely by the participant's Tournament results under the published match format, scoring system, and tie-breaking rules. The winner will not be selected by a random drawing or other element of chance.
Holonautic's reasonable decisions concerning scoring, rule enforcement, and Tournament results are final, subject to applicable law.
The total prize pool for the entire Tournament is US$100. The prize pool will be distributed among the eligible winner or winners based on the final Tournament results.
Prizes are not transferable. Holonautic will pay each verified prize recipient using the payment method selected in the application form, provided that the method is reasonably available to Holonautic and lawful in the recipient’s jurisdiction.
Payment will be initiated within 30 days after the Tournament ends and the recipient’s identity, eligibility, and payment information have been successfully verified. Prize recipients must provide accurate payment information and reasonably cooperate with verification.
Each prize recipient is responsible for declaring and paying any taxes, duties, payment-provider charges, currency-conversion fees, or other charges applicable to their prize in their jurisdiction.
Participants must compete fairly and must not: - cheat, collude, manipulate results, or use unauthorized software;
- exploit bugs or technical errors to obtain an unfair advantage;
- impersonate another participant or use multiple accounts;
- harass other participants or Tournament staff;
- intentionally disrupt matches, communications, or Tournament systems; or
- provide false eligibility, ownership, identity, or payment information.
Holonautic may request reasonable evidence of identity, age, residence, ownership of the full game, account ownership, or compliance with these Rules.
Holonautic may warn, remove, or disqualify a participant where it reasonably determines that the participant is ineligible, has broken these Rules, has compromised the Tournament's integrity, or has failed to cooperate with verification. A disqualified participant forfeits any claim to a prize.
Participants are responsible for their own equipment and internet connection. The published disconnect and rescheduling policy will determine how individual technical interruptions are handled.
Where a platform-wide failure, security incident, serious technical problem, insufficient participation, legal requirement, or other circumstance outside Holonautic's reasonable control prevents the Tournament from being run fairly or safely, Holonautic may modify, postpone, suspend, or cancel it. Holonautic will provide reasonable notice and, where practicable, preserve results already fairly obtained.The Organizer may announce results using participants' chosen public display names where disclosed in the Event Details or application form.
Any additional promotional use of a participant's real name, likeness, voice, interview, or gameplay footage will be based on separate, optional consent. Declining promotional consent will not affect eligibility or the chance of winning.
Holonautic may announce the winner using the winner's chosen public display name.

Application and Tournament information will be processed as described in the Holonautic Privacy Policy and the privacy notice displayed with the application form.
The Tournament is organized solely by Holonautic. It is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Valve Corporation or Steam. Steam and related marks are the property of Valve Corporation.
These Rules are governed by Swiss law. Nothing in these Rules deprives a participant of mandatory consumer or other legal protections that apply in their place of residence.
